George Strait and Alan Jackson raised their glasses before singing together at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium on June 27, 2026. Their two duets, “Designated Drinker” and “Murder on Music Row,” are now part of a farewell recording that fans will soon be able to keep.

Announced October 28, The Last Show: One More for the Road – The Finale (Live from Nashville) arrives December 4. Four days later, NBC will broadcast Alan Jackson: The Last Show, a two-hour special drawn from that June concert.

A Goodbye That Reached Beyond the Stadium

The farewell extended across Nashville. Fans watched livestreams at Belmont University’s Fisher Center and the Country Music Hall of Fame’s CMA Theater. Others gathered around screens on Broadway, with people watching from the street and the rooftops of its honky-tonks.

Alan Jackson’s official account of the evening also described people listening and singing from the pedestrian bridge over the Cumberland River. For fans who could not get inside Nissan Stadium, the concert still became something they could share.

Inside, fellow performers honored Alan Jackson through his songs. Carrie Underwood performed “Everything I Love,” Luke Combs chose “Hard Hat and a Hammer,” and Eric Church sang “Someday.” The television announcement confirms appearances by those artists alongside other guests from the evening.

Two Ways to Return to the Final Show

The album contains Alan Jackson’s 25-song set, opening with “Gone Country” and ending with the encore “Where I Come From.” The George Strait duets appear together midway through the track list. The release will be available on two CDs, three vinyl records, and digitally.

The television special offers another view of the occasion, bringing together Alan Jackson’s performances and the guests who came to honor him. NBC will air it December 8 from 8 to 10 p.m. ET/PT, with streaming on Peacock the following day.

These releases preserve the concert that closed Alan Jackson’s touring career. His official post-concert account emphasized that leaving the road did not mean an end to songwriting or recording.

On the live album, the final song remains “Where I Come From.”
